IT Mission Statement
DataDelivers Security Program implements policies, standards, and procedures, which are consistent with government-wide laws and regulations, to ensure an adequate level of protection for IT systems whether maintained in-house or commercially. The security and privacy of your data is a core part of our business, and is our top priority. DataDelivers provides our customers with an active data security program and review of the process we follow regarding our commitment to information security and compliance. DataDelivers maintains and regularly reviews internal security policies and best practices to provide Information Assurance (IA) ensuring compliance under the Data Protection Act 1998 which requires that Personal Identifiable Information (PII) data be processed fairly and lawfully. These security control methods are measured by administrative, physical, and technical safeguards that reasonably and appropriately protect the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of data. DataDelivers customer data is backed up locally to two redundant backup servers nightly. We maintain redundant web and database servers, fully configured with active monitoring software and data, so in the unlikely event of a failure of any of the main servers, our incident response team is able to react. All DataDelivers customer data is backed up locally and at a secure off-site location. Backups are conducted on a daily, weekly, quarterly, and annual basis. DataDelivers has taken several steps to safeguard the integrity of customer data and prevent unauthorized access to the information it maintains. Security measures have been built into the design, implementation and day-to-day practices of the entire operating environment as a part of its continuing commitment to risk management. These measures are designed and intended to prevent corruption of data, block unknown or unauthorized access to our systems and information, as well as provide reasonable protection of private information we possess.
Personal Identifiable Information (PII)
Personal Identifiable Information (PII) is information that may be used to identify an individual, including, without limitation, first and last name, home or other physical address, e-mail address, Internet addresses visited, browsers used, and other similar information (collectively, “Personal Information”).
Information Assurance (IA) is the practice of managing information-related risks. More specifically, IA practitioners seek to protect and defend information and information systems by ensuring confidentiality, integrity, authentication, availability, and non-repudiation. These goals are relevant whether the information are in storage, processing, or transit, and whether threatened by malice or accident. In other words, IA is the process of ensuring that authorized users have access to authorized information at the authorized time.
